Silicon Power Unleashes Two Sets of Bluetooth Wireless Earphones
Silicon Power Unleashes Two Sets of Bluetooth Wireless Earphones

2018-01-17

Taipei, Taiwan - January, 2018 - Silicon Power (SP) announced the‘Blast’ accessory series as a wireless audio addition to their expanding product family. Silicon Power has highlighted Bluetooth connectivity and noise cancellation in their new audio equipment.

SP Blast Plug - BP51 and BP61 Bluetooth Earphones

While mostly known for its line of beautifully designed storage devices, Silicon Power aims to break into the exciting audio industry with this launch. Silicon Power's Blast Plug earphones were designed to provide both functionality and longevity for wireless audio. The series is geared towards both working professionals and exercise enthusiasts, featuring water resistance and noise cancellation technology and Bluetooth in the BP51 and BP61 models.

A New Direction for a Seasoned Industry Leader

After 15 years of focusing on storage products, Product Manager Peter Liu explains that “Silicon Power hopes to stretch beyond our comfort zone of design and storage and set a bold, new direction for the new year. We're excited to break into new industries this year and create new engaging products.”

The BP51 and BP61 Experience

Both the BP51 and BP61 Blast headphone models address a number of issues common in the headphone ecosystem. The earphone's nano-coated circuits and IP64 water resistance offer reliable protection against weather, wear and corrosion. Built-in CVC 6.0™ noise cancellation technology minimizes background noise, while AptX™ codec technology allows for an improved Bluetooth sound quality. They both support HFP, HSP, A2DP and AVRCP Bluetooth profiles and CSR Bluetooth 4.1 for easier Bluetooth pairing.

At only 13g, they are incredibly lightweight and their behind-the-head cable style maintains stability even during the most high-intensity moves. The BP51s also feature a two hour recharge time, while the BP61s recharge in one hour. The two have slightly different designs and the BP61 has a slightly longer playback at eight hours compared to the BP51 which will blast your tunes or let you talk on the phone for up to six. The BP51 controls are placed on the earpiece while on the BP61, they are placed on the cable.

Silicon Power's Blast Plug BP51s and BP61s are available now at retailers, dealers and distributors near you.
