Silicon Power opens new Service Center in New Delhi showing long-term commitment to the Indian market

2011-01-10

Silicon Power, a leading flash memory manufacturer, expressed its optimism about the Indian market and has announced today (07/01) the opening of their new office located in New Delhi, India. They have also inaugurated their new Nehru Place Service Center, offering comprehensive after-sales service to all its customers. The New Delhi branch and Service Center have been established to provide customers with prompt response to their queries and to strengthen the related sales support to the local distributors. Silicon Power expects a large growth in the Indian market and has plans to expand into all the major regions of India. It will establish more branch offices and service centers in cities such as Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata, catering to the uprising demand for top quality, localised services.

From 2003, Silicon Power has been driving growth in the emerging global markets and the outcome is reflected in the steady rise of its revenue; With superior quality and innovative design, Silicon Power holds a record of successive double-digit revenue growth for last seven years and was ranked Number one in the semi-conductor industry in 2010 from Top 1000 Manufacturers in Taiwan. With aims to strengthen its brand and to build strong networks in India, the company has decided to launch its operations beginning with New Delhi. The current expansion reflects Indian market’s growing importance to Silicon Power. It also demonstrates the company’s faith in the future growth prospects of the country.

The main objective for Silicon Power at the moment is to become one of the top three brands in India’s flash memory market and the main strategy for reaching this goal is to provide its customers with excellent service. Silicon Power shows commitment to solidify its presence in India by localising its operations and expanding its network of service points, backed by firm support from the headquarters. The company has made tremendous effort to understand the needs of dealers and consumers and in December 2010, as a response to market demand, Silicon Power has jointly established a RMA Service Center with its distributor in the New Delhi region. Both parties have yielded great gains from this partnership and will continue to work in mutual trust towards continued prosperity.

Silicon Power has plans to work together with local distributors and dealers in each of the states and territories in an effort of thorough understanding of the customers in respective regions. Combined with steady supply capacity and support to its partners, the cooperation will result in a win-win situation for all participants and ultimately achieve promising sales.

In what concerns its future plans, Silicon Power aims to provide the best support through its Service Centers in the country and will continue its localisation policy by setting up until 2012 three more service points in the cities of Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata. Having an in-depth understanding of each region, Sam Wang, the Director for the Indian region wants all the people who come into contact with the SP brand to feel the determination and care the company has for the local market. Silicon Power has also set up local branding and sales teams to assist their distribution channel partners.

The launch of the New Delhi office in New Delhi is an important milestone for Silicon Power in the path towards consolidating its global presence. The Indian market will be managed locally by Country Managers - Mr. Kuldip Singh Sengar and Simon Liu. Their role will be to cater to the local businesses and consumers and provide them with the best support and premium services. The presence of local representatives will enhance the company’s understanding of the Indian market dynamics, thus more effectively satisfying its needs and increase the Silicon Power brand awareness.
