Autumn Showers SP With Five Taiwan Excellence Awards
Autumn Showers SP With Five Taiwan Excellence Awards

2017-11-09

Taipei, Taiwan – November 10, 2017 –SP/ Silicon Power showered with five Taiwan Excellence Awards; three for their portable hard drive series (Diamond D30, Armor A62, and Armor A75), one for their flagship portable solid state drive (Bolt B80), and another for their 3-in-1 USB flash drive, (Mobile C50).

Diamond D30 (500GB-5TB)

This sleek and portable hard drive gives fast and easy data transfers and safe storage in a stylish, classic notebook design. And because design is about function as well as form, the bookmark is a sliding cover which protects the port against splashes and dirt (IPX4 rated) when closed.

Armor A62 (1TB-5TB)

The design of the A62 symbolizes a beautiful gift and is the first to have a diagonal cable-carry design, which makes it lighter and more convenient to carry around. The unique surface helps avoid fingerprint, scratch and friction marks. In addition, A62 passed a 1.22m transit drop test (MIL-STD-810G 516.7 Procedure IV) and is IPX4 waterproof rated to provide users with comprehensive data protection.

Armor A75 (1TB, 2TB)

This is the thinnest all-metal shockproof hard drive of its kind. The stylish yet rugged ridges strengthen the structure which reduces impact and scratch damage as well as keep the drive cool to the touch. Its lightweight internal parts are encased in military-grade aluminum and live up to the Armor series shockproof tests of up to 122cm (MIL-STD 810G 516.7 Procedure IV transit drop test).

Bolt B80 (120GB, 240BG, 480GB)

The thinnest shock and waterproof portable SSD in the market, the B80 features a futuristically stylish UFO-shaped and aluminum enclosure that it is extremely thin (11.9mm) and lightweight (53g). The pocket-sized design has passed the MIL-STD-810G 516.7 Procedure IV (transit drop test) and is IP68 water and dustproof to protect important data from spills, splashes, dust and even shocks.

Mobile C50 (32GB, 64GB, 128GB)

This portable OTG flash drive with a Type-C, Micro-B and Type-A (USB 3.1) connector makes data transfer between phones, tablets and desktops more convenient than ever. It’s strikingly versatile, so sharing any file type with friends, family, or colleagues is a breeze. The one piece rubber design protects the USB Type-C connector and keeps the C50 small and thin for easy transport and handling.

Taiwan Excellence Awards

These awards are delivered by the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) to encourage Taiwan industries to upgrade and incorporate innovation and value into their products. The selection of awards is based on four criteria: R&Ddesignquality, and marketing. Each product must score evenly well in each category in order to be selected. An international panel of judges is invited to participate in this selection, in which the finalists surface after several evaluations.
