Silicon Power Earns the iF Design Award for Two Portable SSDs
Silicon Power Earns the iF Design Award for Two Portable SSDs

2025-03-31

Taipei, Taiwan – March 31st, 2025 – Silicon Power (SP) is proud to announce that two of its portable SSDs, the PX10 and DS72, have been awarded the world-renowned iF Design Award. This recognition celebrates the company's commitment to delivering cutting-edge products that combine first-class performance with clever design.

PX10: Ultra-thin, Military-grade Durability

The PX10 combines sleek aesthetics with powerful performance, making it an ideal portable SSD for both professionals and creatives. Available in black and pink with a Type-C USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface, its ultra-thin 10.3mm profile and featherlight 33g design ensure effortless portability. Beyond its stylish exterior, the PX10 is engineered for efficiency, featuring a unique shape that enhances heat dissipation for sustained high-speed performance. With read and write speeds of up to 1,050MB/s,[1]  it accelerates workflows, whether transferring large files or recording high-quality Apple ProRes videos directly onto an iPhone 15 or 16 Pro/Pro Max. Additionally, its military-grade durability provides reliable, on-the-go data protection, safeguarding files from accidental drops up to 1.2m.

DS72: Versatile, Stick-type Storage

The DS72 is a high-speed, dual-connector portable SSD designed for effortless compatibility and versatility. With read and write speeds of up to 1,050MB/s and 850MB/s[1]  via USB 3.2 Gen 2, it ensures rapid data transfers across a wide range of devices, from MacBooks and Windows laptops to smartphones and cameras. Its dual Type-A and Type-C connectors eliminate the need for adapters, making it an essential tool for creators, photographers, and mobile professionals who frequently switch between devices. Whether sharing presentations, transferring high-resolution media, or accessing files on the go, the DS72 streamlines workflows while maintaining a sleek, durable aluminum design with eco-friendly TPU rubber flip-caps that securely protect the ports.

Winning the iF Design Award highlights Silicon Power’s dedication to creating products that go beyond the expectations of modern tech enthusiasts. As the company continues to drive innovation, it remains committed to delivering exceptional performance, style, and reliability.
