Execute by Taiwan External Trade Development Council, TAITRA, held by the Taiwan Ministry of Economic Affairs, the 18^th annual Taiwan Excellence Awards endured two months of evaluation and product inspection from more than 70 renowned domestic and international judges, final decisions were revealed. Of the 325 manufacturers with 717 participating products at this year’s event, 368 participating products from 136 manufacturers came away with honors. Silicon Power took two award places with Touch 820 Swivel-Guard USB Drive and 2.5” SATA SSD M10.

 

The Taiwan Excellence Awards is one of the world’s most all around awards. The award focuses on product quality, design, user friendliness, R&D technology and international brand name marketing. The Touch 820 Swivel-Guard USB Drive and 2.5” SATA SSD M10 won the award as a reassurance of Silicon Power’s quality, design and R&D.

 

Of the two, Touch 820 has also won the 2^nd annual COMPUTEX TAIPEI Design & Innovation Awards at the 2009 Computex. Winning the 18^th Taiwan Excellence Awards further signifies its place as a true award winning product. Silicon Power’s Touch 820 utilizes a 360° swivel-guard lid for all around protection. Its design is based on the “less is more” concept and it incorporates pure white or royal blue for aesthetic looks and market acceptance.

 

Silicon Power’s 2.5” SSD M10 was designed to breakthrough traditional SSD dull looks. It features a mini USB port for external connectivity and has a futuristic look for the fashion conscious.

 

In addition to the Taiwan Excellence Awards, Silicon Power continues its award winning ways around the world. Such as LuxMini 920 32GB, became the winner of Russia iXBT Original Design award and Russia PC Magazine 5 star honor. Armor A10, became the winner of Indonesia InfoKomputer Gold award. 2.5” SSD E10, became the winner of Russian PC Magazine Best of the Month 2009.
