Following the award success of its Armor A10 last year, SP/ Silicon Power’s Armor A70 won the Silver Medal at the 2011 National Invention and Creation Award ceremony. From the innovation patent of its “Portable Hard Drives”, once again SP has won the recognition by the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office.
The judge panel states that, “The creation is aimed at solving the problems one may face when carrying an external hard drive by adding convenience to its portability. It provides the US military grade protection which prevents the device from being damaged from accidental drops or liquid spillage. Armor A70 is functional and also features creative innovation. The patent will bring Armor A70 to full play and good returns can be highly expected in the future.”
Like previous products from the Armor series, the Armor A70 is in compliance with US military grade MIL-STD-810F 516.5 procedure IV (Transit drop test). In addition to its abilities to withstand most shock and vibration forces, it is also in compliance with IEC529 IPX7 waterproof tests.
