Silicon Power Goes Back to Back to Back at DISTREE EMEA
Silicon Power Goes Back to Back to Back at DISTREE EMEA

2018-02-23

Monaco, France – February 21st, 2018 – Silicon Power (SP), has won its third award at the 2018 DISTREE EMEA Awards in Monaco, an event that connects distribution executives and vendor executives to discuss business and strengthen relationships.

Another Victorious Year for Storage Solution Powerhouse

SP took home the 2018 DISTREE Diamond Storage Award, its third year in a row as the respected leader in storage solutions. During the four day exhibition, SP made valuable connections with new businesses and showcased their diverse line including the Bolt series B80 Type-C, the Bolt B10 Micro-B portable solid state drives, the Armor series portable hard drives such as the Armor A75, and the new Boost series of accessories. Though synonymous with quality storage solutions, the company has diversified its product line with accessories this year.

An Important Event for Many Industries

This year’s DISTREE EMEA, one of the most influential trade shows in the field, brought distributors and vendors together from CEE, Africa, Maghreb, the Middle East, Nordics, Russia, Western and Southern Europe. Held on the seafront of Monaco’s eastern beach quarter at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco, the event was brimming with meetings, keynotes, workshops, networking events, all culminating in the award ceremony followed by a gala dinner. A number of industry leaders spoke on consumer tech retail, the gaming industry, supply chain management, the start-up world, security, and the entire distribution economy. A variety of awards—categorized into Audio, Mobile Devices, Smart Home, B2B Product & Solutions, Gadgets and Toys, Bags & Luggage, and Gaming—were distributed to a number of companies like AMD, Aftershokz, Bloompods, Tuncmatik and Kaptivo, and Smanos. Companies that attended the 2018 DISTREE EMEA event included 3dRudder, Adam Elements, Amazon, Anker, Cygnett, Trackr, and Vuzix.

How SP Achieved A Big Win

Though proud of SP’s win at this year’s DISTREE EMEA, the company notes a couple of other key wins; they held over seventy meetings with potential distribution partners across EMEA region and increased brand exposure within the largest consumer electronic event for distributors and retailers. According to Julio Redondo, Silicon Power’s Europe and North Africa General Manager “the award is recognition for all SP’s effort in the past few months: new product releases, channel marketing activities, sales account management, and customer service. Though only a few of us were present at DISTREE, everyone in Silicon Power contributed to this achievement in one way or another.”

Silicon Power aims to continue development of new consumer portable solid-state drives, portable hard drives and device accessories with user-friendly, top-tier design. With three DISTREE wins to its name, SP strengthens as a brand and has exciting plans for the rest of 2018.
