Silicon Power Creators – Alessandro Picchio
Silicon Power Creators – Alessandro Picchio

2021-03-04

In one of our most recent sponsorships, we had the pleasure to work along with Alessandro Picchio. Alessandro is an experienced wildlife photographer from Italy. Wildlife photography is more than a simple hobby for Alessandro, for him it is a way to profess his love to nature and the beings that inhabit it.

Alessandro has been photographing throughout his entire life. When probed about an exact date when he started down this path he confessed he couldn’t tell anymore, however he remarked that as far he could remember he had always enjoyed taking pictures and if he put the effort he could still recall the feeling of holding his first Polaroid on his hands.

Mr. Picchio started his career as a street photographer, nevertheless, the need for solitude, and desire of being in close contact with nature pushed him to change his focus to wildlife photography. For him, being able to photograph an animal in its natural habitat is much more satisfying, on a personal level, than photographing a person.

“I love the possibility of capturing the moment, of showing something that is sometimes difficult to see, I love the connection that is created with the camera, with the place, with the animal”, were Alessandro words when asked what he loves the most about photography. For aspiring photographers, Alessandro left an advice in the shape of a single word “passion”; passion to study the subject and passion to devote time to learning it.

During the sponsorship we provided Alessandro with some of our best products among them our UHS-II V90 SD Card, Bolt B75 Pro and Portable Hard Drive Armor A60. After months of using them, we asked his opinion and this is what he had to say:

“I love Silicon Power products! They are reliable, resistant and why not ... beautiful to look at! My camera has always inserted a Silicon Power SD card, and my files are stored in Silicon Power SSD drives. I feel calm thanks to Silicon Power!”

It was truly an honor collaborating with this passionate photographer. We encourage you to check out his work on his Instagram channel and why not drop a like and follow him if you like what you see.
